Crossed Grain – AIC (Italian Celiac Association)
The Crossed Grain logo is a registered trademark owned by the Italian Celiac Association. It is only granted to companies which pass the reliability assessment, established by a strict manufacturing process and finished product control procedure implemented directly by AIC. The products which carry this symbol are suitable for consumption by celiacs since the gluten content is less than 20 ppm.
Authorization to produce gluten-free products
Green mark: authorization for the production and packaging of gluten-free snacks included in the scope of Italian Legislative Decree No. 111 of 27 January 1992, concerning the implementation of community regulations on foodstuffs for particular nutritional uses, with specific reference to regulation (EC) 41/2009.
Authorization to produce Organic products
Organic certification mark: authorization for organic production in compliance with the provisions contained in EC Reg. 834/07, EC Reg. 889/08.
Controlled production systems to guarantee health and safety
HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) is a self-monitoring system to guarantee hygiene, which every operator in the food production sector must implement in order to evaluate and assess hazards and risks and to establish control measures to prevent health problems occurring and thereby protect the health of consumers.
